Cross Denominational Mission
The
church is not the buildings, but the people of God gathered to worship
Him. However, the buildings that have evolved from the Christian
religion rank among the most remarkable structures that have ever been
constructed. Many churches in the United Kingdom, Europe, The Holy
Lands, and Russian continent are the custodians of countless historic
and famous buildings. To worship the buildings would be wrong, but it
would also be wrong to ignore the massive contribution the buildings,
and the statues, carvings and artifacts in them have had not only on
our faith, but on the history and culture of the world (including those
who say they don't believe!). Our study of these buildings will help, I
hope, to put a better understanding of our faith by trying to
understand what motivated the masons, sculpters, carpenters and others
who created this heritage.
